8. Pepperdine University – Tuition: $37,850 per year. Located in Malibu, Seaver College is Pepperdine University’s undergraduate college. With 3,000 enrolled students, Seaver College offers 38 majors and 36 minors to its students. Students are required to take three religions classes during their schooling. It is only an hour and half drive away from Santa Barbara.

10. Loyola Marymount College – Tuition: $36,426 per year. Room/Board: $12,397 per year. Offering 53 major areas of study, LMU was ranked by the Princeton Review on their “The Best 371 Colleges: 2010 Edition” list. Their enrollment falls just under 9,000, including graduate and law students. It is less than a two hour drive away from Santa Barbara.
